A Moment They Won't Forget
Hosted at York University, Shoot Your Shot I launched NoFlukes Foundation’s flagship experience. Over two days, youth engaged in basketball, mentorship, and culture alongside Shai, Nickeil, Metta World Peace, and Dave East. Meals, jerseys, prizes, and recognition ensured full participation and belonging.

Shoot Your Shot I was where it all began — the inaugural event that proved what's possible when you combine basketball with real access, structure, and opportunity for young athletes from underserved communities.
What We Created From day one, we built a space centered on access, exposure, and community: high-level coaching, mentorship grounded in real experience, meals and gear to remove barriers, direct interaction with pro athletes, and a structured environment focused on growth and belonging.
From Those Who've Lived It A live session featuring Metta World Peace gave participants direct insight into the journey behind success — the challenges, the mental health realities, and the discipline required to overcome them. It set the tone for everything that followed.
Why It Matters Talent is everywhere. Opportunity is not. The right environment, mentorship, and support help young people see what's possible — on and off the court. That's how confidence is built and pathways are created.
Beyond One Day What started as a single event became a movement. Shoot Your Shot I laid the foundation — proving the model and setting the standard for consistent, high-impact programming for underserved youth that extends beyond the court into education, leadership, and life.
